A Word About Templates

A web template is a ready-made design for your website, complete with images, sample navigation layout, sample pages and possibly even some Flash animation. It is an empty website, just waiting for you to add your content.

You may think, that sounds great, but won't my site look just like someone else's site? Nowdays, there are thousands of templates on the internet. Companies offering their own sitebuilders with templates are in competition with each other, so the good companies will keep adding new designs that are current. Even if you do choose the same template as someone else, which would probably have about the same odds as winning the lottery, the chances are very unlikely that your visitors will stumble on a similar site.

We like to think of templates simply as a page with placeholders. You are only limited to your imagination as to what you want in the placeholders - images, text, logos, etc. Your site's content is what will set you apart.
